About the publication

A field journal for material evidence

Forge & Ember Journal connects the visual appeal of crafted metal with the slower questions: what is known, who made it, how was it documented, and where does safety begin?

Our mission

Make craft legible without making it generic.

We publish original English-language guides to decorative casting, forging, relief, surface finish and workshop culture. Our articles use museum, conservation, professional and occupational sources; identify original illustrations; and refuse to invent provenance for an object based on its appearance.

Editorial responsibility

All current articles use the institutional byline Forge & Ember Editorial Desk. This is a publication profile, not a fictional person. A verified editor-in-chief and named contributor profiles must be added before launch.

The publisher record is currently: elquandovex@gmail.com. It remains visibly incomplete so a developer cannot mistake an invented identity for verified information.

What we publish

  • Material and technique explainers
  • Source-linked craft histories
  • Verified institution profiles
  • Original editorial diagrams
  • Correction and image-credit records

What we do not certify

Our educational content does not qualify a reader to operate a foundry, select structural materials, treat an historic surface or install overhead work. Those decisions require competent practitioners and current rules.

Publication status

This transfer package is production-ready as a website but not legally complete. The publisher, working email, postal address, domain and named responsible editor require verification before public deployment.
